We found Wana'ao 100% Kona coffee during a trip to Oahu at a local Farmer's Market. After deciding on trying that and loving it, we decided to try the same from other brands on the island and decided to go back to Wana'ao. The coffee is smooth and rich. If you are buying "Kona" coffee from the industrialized grocery stores, it's only approximately 10% Kona content.
This 100% Kona coffee is to be preferred and the roast on the beans provides a rich aroma that my senses appreciate. I put it in my top 5 coffees that I've experienced. I'm still looking and tasting, but this goes next to the Nepal, Yemeni, and Peru San Ignacio single estate coffees for those special days that good coffee is necessary.
If the cost seems high, let's talk about the value. There aren't many other coffees from the $25/lb. range that can turn $40-50/lb. coffee like Jamaican Blue Mountain into a lame "your mama" joke.
